General Objective: Have students gain knowledge on various facts dealing with the American Revolution. Gain experience on the Internet by looking up web sites.
Procedure:
1.
The class will be divided into groups.
2.
Each group receives a sheet with questions on the American Revolution.
The sheets contain specific web addresses where the students will be able
to find the answers to their questions.
3.
Have students work with a partner. Have them take turns reading the
web addresses to each other and looking up the information.
4.
When students find answers have them record it on their question sheet.
5.
Students can share their findings with the class.
Materials:
Computer access
Web addresses related to the American Revolution.
Evaluation:
Check students written work and grade them on their presentations to the
class.
I also tried this project out with my class. Again, this type of lesson can be used not only with history topics, but with any subject. This project gave my class exposure to the Internet and some educational web sites that they enjoyed. After my class recorded their answers, we posted them on a bulletin board.
