Get and use KNOPPIX or Ubuntu!  It's a free and open source Linux distribution that boots from CD and JUST WORKS!

If you are scared by Unix, why not try a MAC MINI or Macbook?   OS X is Free BSD based and smokes Windows user interface.  Plus Apple's new Nano and other IPOD variants rock. Make sure you use free and open MP3s tho and not the proprietary AAC files, its a real pain to use them with things like Creative Zens and Xbox 360s!

I am an amateur photographer and I use aNikon D300.  I shoot raw and edit using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom

I am an ancient member at Home Theater Forum I post a lot at AVS Forum too. I am a widescreen advocate, and watch TV and videogame on a Panasonic AE-900U projector. I collect BluRay movies but not as many as I used to...
