Mestre Geraldo founded the Navegando Capoeira Association that was incorporated on September 6, 1988 as the Axe Brazil Academy of Capoeira in Canada. He frequented three different schools of Capoeira in Brazil before beginning to teach this sport. He has32 years of experience, in which 25 were dedicated to teaching. During the years of 1978 and 1979, Mestre Geraldo was the coach and artistic director of Capoeira for a Brazilian Navy School contributing greatly to the cultural and sport life of that school. Mestre Geraldo introduced Capoeira in the East Coast of Canada where he taught this art form for several organizations. Nowadays, living in New Jersey, Mestre Geraldo continues to promote his sport among people creating a constructive environment in all classes.
